I was truly honoured to create this piece with the NAC (National Arts Centre) for their Kipnes Lantern in celebration of Pride Month here in Ottawa. I was given the chance to represent what being queer means to me, and I had the opportunity to share the process behind my work. I hope that this piece reflects and uplifts the community as best as I can.

This project was released in two phases: the first animation, more simple in form, premiered in July during the general Pride Month. The second phase, a fuller version of the work, was unveiled in August to coincide with Ottawa’s Pride Month. I hope that both stages of this piece reflect and uplift the community as best as I can.
